Evangelism with Urgency

"And he said to them, 'Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation'" – Mark 16:15

Commentary

On the night of March 22, 1945, General Patton's 3rd Army division crossed over the Rhine River into Germany. He had looked forward to this day for a long time. Patton's forces were initially unopposed by the Germans (https://www.historyonthenet.com/pattons-entrance-into-germany-in-1945). After the successful intrusion into Germany, Patton called General Omar Bradley and reported the good news but told him not to tell anyone. He wanted to keep his invasion secret until he saw how the Germans responded. As Christians, Jesus has given us clear orders, but we must not remain silent. Our orders are to share the Gospel with all people. There is someone with whom God wants us to share His Good News. It could be your neighbor, your co-worker, or the postal worker who delivers your mail. So, decide today that whoever the Lord puts in your path, you will actively seek to have a Gospel conversation. It begins with prayer; let's start anew today.
