NEXT STEPS

If you and your spouse are struggling, you do NOT have to do this alone! Valleydale wants to walk beside you through any situation you encounter. Below are suggestions for the next step you can take toward healing, reconciliation and a stronger marriage. Don’t put this off. The time to pursue a healthier, more Christ-centered marriage is now!

Talk to a pastor. Find a pastor at the end of the service or email Pastor Chuck (Family Ministry) cmccammon@valleydale.org.

Visit valleydale.org/familyresources for books, websites & podcasts containing marriage-related content.

For marriages needing immediate help, we recommend a Marriage Intensive. This is a 3-day, 4-day or 5-day getaway with a counselor in nearby Rome, GA with a phenomenal success rate. A fee is involved. Visit marriage.winshape.org/intensives/ for more information.

RE|ENGAGE

Whether your marriage needs to be reignited or be completely resurrected, re|engage is a safe place for couples to reconnect. This ministry offers hope to marriages by helping couples move toward oneness through stories of grace, teaching, and small groups. Re|engage is a marriage enrichment program; whether couples are struggling to get along, have broken relationships, or simply want to grow closer together, marriages in any condition can benefit.

Re|enage meets on Wednesday nights from 6:15-7:45 PM. Programming that runs simultaneously for children is available for birth through 12th grade. FAITH PATH 5

In Faith Path 5, we host parents of 1st-5th graders for lunch and equipping. We will provide lunch and instructions, then break out to 1 of 5 specialty areas of your choice: Bible reading, Prayer, Scripture Memory, Family Worship or Living on Mission as a Family. The breakouts are designed to help families gain ideas and strategies for teaching and living these important faith disciplines out in the home. Kids will be fed lunch and have separate activities while adults attend their breakouts. Please contact Chuck McCammon at cmccammon@valleydale.org for more information on the next Faith Path 5 session.

JUMPSTART

Your child is asking questions about salvation and/or baptism. How do you know what to say? How do you know what to ask? What do they or can they understand? How do I know when they’re ready to take steps toward Christ? As a parent, if you’re having questions like these, then Jump Start is for you. Jump Start is offered several times a year on a Sunday after the second service. Lunch is provided. We talk to kids about the gospel with parents present, then we send kids to work on some related activities as parents remain to discuss how to lead their kids to Christ. Contact Jamie Willis at jwillis@valleydale.org for more information.

Valleydale Family Ministry - Creating a culture of intentional families by making discipleship at home simple to do and more likely to happen

God designed the family as the primary place for faith and character formation:

  • SHOWING CHRIST - Every marriage is intended to be a masterpiece reflecting the marriage between God and His people. (Genesis 1:27, Genesis 15, Jeremiah 3, Ephesians 5:22-33, Revelations 21:9)

  • RAISING BELIEVERS - Those blessed with the gift of children and grandchildren are called to disciple the next generation as life’s greatest honor and highest priority. (Exodus 20, Deuteronomy 6, Psalm 78:1-8, Ephesians 6:1-4)

  • BEING JESUS - A strong Christian family attract the next generation and next-door neighbor to Christ as The Word becomes flesh and blood and we conform our lives to the image and example of Christ (John 1:14, Philippians 2, 1 Timothy 3, 1 John 3:16)
