So when they had come together, they asked him, “Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
— Acts 1:6-8

Why missions?

The Church of Jesus Christ has been given a great command through Scripture to preach and proclaim the message of the Gospel to all peoples of the world. We understand this command to be three fold: inside our own church, within our city and country, and across the world to all people groups.

As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ.
— 1 Peter 4:10-11

Serving the Church

Every week, Valleydale Church relies on volunteers to help us fulfill our mission of making Jesus known and making disciples. These roles, ranging from playing guitar, leading a middle school Life Group, construction work, and cooking meals, are vital to our church’s continued ministry.

If you are interested in serving inside the church in any capacity, apply to be a volunteer via the link on the right, or email Whitney Warren at

For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.
— Mark 10:45

Serving the Community

Valleydale Church believes that serving and ministering to our neighbors is one of our primary goals as a church. We partner with several local organizations that help those in need while pointing people to Christ.

For this is what the Lord has commanded us: “ ‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’ ”
— Acts 13:47

Serving the World

Valleydale Church is passionate about global missions. Along with serving in our church and in our community, we wholeheartedly embrace the calling of the Great Commission to make disciples of all nations.
