Calvin Kelly

Dr. Calvin Kelly has been Senior Pastor of Valleydale since 1984. He is known for the creative Biblical communication that he shares each Sunday in our worship service. He has a tremendous heart for people and a passion for seeing people become devoted followers of Christ.

Pastor Calvin's educational distinctions include a B.A. in Communications from Mississippi State University; an M.Div. in Theology and Doctorate of Ministries from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Ft. Worth, TX. He has served on the board of trustees for Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary and the Board of Regents for the University of Mobile.

A native of Mississippi, Calvin is an avid Mississippi State fan.

Calvin's wife Paula also serves on staff as our instrumental coordinator and has been the church organist/keyboardist since their arrival in 1984. Calvin says, "The real reason I was called to Valleydale is because they needed an organist. Since organists are harder to come by than senior pastors, and my wife is an excellent organist, I was called!" Paula is a dedicated supporter of the church and loves serving in the worship ministry.

Calvin and Paula have two adult daughters and a son-in-law, Alissa Kelly and Hillary and Wade White, who are also deeply involved in service to their churches.
