What to Expect
Our Sunday morning experience is our church's "front door" for the majority of our guests, so it is at the very center of all we do. We have a common worship hour at 9:30, surrounded by discipleship classes ("Life Connection") at 8:15 and 10:45.
We invite you to read below to get more information about those Sunday morning programs that interest you. For further information, you can explore more of our website or contact us at info@valleydale.org with your questions. Thanks for visiting our site today. We'd love to see you here this Sunday!
Worship
Our worship service is contemporary, using modern music, drama, video, or other elements to reinforce the weekly message from our pastor. We strongly believe that "worship" is not something that only happens in the first 20 minutes while the music plays. Worship encompasses the whole of what we do from the opening song to the closing prayer because all of it calls on us to respond to God from the heart. It is our goal for each week's service to help you focus your mind and heart on something God wants to do in your life.
Children
Our children's ministry offers an incredible program called KidStuf beginning at 8:45 each Sunday morning. KidStuf is for 1st-5th graders and their parents to come together in an interactive environment of music, drama, video, and God-centered learning.
From KidStuf, the children and parents will be able to go to our main worship service together, and, at 10:45, the children return to small group classes where the weekly teaching is reinforced by a caring leader and a great group of friends.
Care is provided for preschool children (up through K5) beginning at the 9:30 worship hour and continuing through the 10:45 Life Connection hour. Kindergartners have both a small group experience as well as a large group time called "Kingdom Kids."
Middle School/ High School
Our student ministry attends the worship service with our church family (they even have seats down front in the middle saved just for them). After the service, they break off into small and large group experiences tailored just for them and focused on helping them grow in their life as a disciple of Christ. There is also a strong encouragement in our student ministry toward giving back to the church through volunteer service in various areas of need in our church.
Adults
We believe that life-change happens best in the context of relationships. Consequently, we encourage all of our adults to connect with others in a Sunday morning discipleship class or a weekly small group that meets in a home. No matter your age or circumstance of life, we would love to help you find a class or group that fits you and helps move you toward a deeper relationship with God. Classes for adults are available at both the 8:15 and 10:45 hours.
